Central Washington Health & Safety Fair
I am hosting a Central Washington Health & Safety Fair on Saturday, July 27!
All individuals and families in Central Washington are invited to join me for a FREE Health and Safety Fair from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM in the Yakima Valley College Hopf Union Building to learn about personal, home, outdoor, and online safety. I am bringing together representatives and resources from state and local organizations with information to ensure you and your family stay safe as you finish summer vacation and head into the new school year. There will be interactive booths with activities for all members of the family. You will have a chance to learn CPR, practice your hunter safety, meet local law enforcement officers, and much more.

This event is free and open to all constituents in the 4th Congressional District. Constituents who plan on attending are encouraged to pre-register here.Pre-registration is not required for the event, but it will speed up checkin time on July 27.

An American Heart Association training center facility instructure can certify all types of Washington state and federally mandated first aid/CPR/AED certifications. They teach foster parents and non-profits free of charge. They have recently included active shooter trauma treatment and opiate overdose treatment with the use of nasal deliver and access to Narcan.
Birthright International Crisis Pregnancy Center
They offer pregnancy testing, counseling, baby items, maternity clothes, and resources for daily living.

Columbia Homes is a manufactured home dealer in Union Gap featuring Marlette Homes. Homes can be constructed to include handicap "roll in" showers, widened interior and exterior doors, handicap toilets, wall hung sinks.

Department of Fish & Wildlife: Hunter Safety
WDFW Hunter Education Division primarily provides basic hunter safety training certification that is required to attain a hunting license. They also provide how-to hunting clinics and cooridnate mentored hunting opportunities with NGO organizations.

The Range
The Range is Central Washington's only indoor shooting facility, as well as a full-service gun store and gunsmithing shop. They have several experienced and certified Firearms Trainers which teach classes from basic handgun to advanced long-range precision rifle classes. Certified trainers teach the State of Washington's Private Security Armed License class, as well as qualified retired police officers for their LEOSA certification. The Range regularly offers free firearms safety classes to the community.
Washington National Guard Family Assistance Center/Joint Services Support Family Programs
I am the Family Assistance Center Specialist for Yakima, Klickitat and Kittitas Counties. There are 12 FAC Specialists located in Washington State. I work as part of the 1 of 13 agencies under Washington National Guard joint Services Support. JSS serves all service members, veterans, and their families. Family Assistance Specialists (FAS) provide comprehensive, coordinated, responsive and CONFIDENTIAL services in support of Service Members, Families, and Veterans from all branches. Essential services include crisis intervention, counseling and financial resource, Tri-Care medical and dental resource, legal resource and DEERS enrollment eligibility and outreach and information and referral to appropriate service agencies. FAC Specialist work closely with local Veteran Service organizations and offers information and local resources in the communities they serve.

It is the goal of the association to promote athletic training and athletic trainers through education and professional development in all aspects of work, life and sport.
Washington State Department of Transportation
The WSDOT is the steward of a multimodal transportation system and responsible for ensuring that people and goods move safely and efficiently. In addition to building, maintaining and operating the state highway system, WSDOT is responsible for the state ferry system and works in partnership with others to maintain and improve local roads, railroads and airports, as well as to support alternatives to driving, such as public transportation, bicycles and pedestrian programs. Our focus will be on work zone safety and provide roundabout driving tips.

The Washington Poison Center is a 501c3 nonprofit organization, established under RCW to serve the citizens of Washington State. They provide a 24/7/365 emergency telephone helpline that is free, confidential, and available to the public and healthcare providers. Phones are answered by highly trained pharmacists, nurses, and physicians who provide consultation on poisonings, drug overdoses, and potential toxic exposures. Unique wraparound care model follows patients from initial call to resolution. They serve as a resource for public policy makers and public health leaders in forecasting emerging public health trends. They have a robust public education/outreach program with public health educators both in Seattle and Spokane.

YHD works to protect and improve the health of Yakima County by educating, monitoring, testing and providing services in the following: Communicable disease control prevention and treatment, TB services, STD, Water and vector borne disease, food service licenses, inspection and certification programs, vital statistics, solid and hazardous wastes Water recreation inspection, waste water treatment, school sanitation inspection, food handler education and certification, general sanitation inspection and control, Breast Cervical Colon Health Program, Snap-Ed, marijuana and tobacco prevention and other services mandated by the State Board of Health.
