I am proud to announce the 2019 Veteran Service Fair for all Central Washington veterans and their families! As your representative in Congress, I have worked hard in Washington D.C. to be an advocate for veterans. I believe it is important to provide an opportunity for Central Washington's veterans to explore the resources available to them throughout our region; it is the least we can do to thank them for their service to our country.

This year's Veteran Service Fair will feature a Vietnam Veteran Pinning Ceremony from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Vietnam-era veterans are encouraged to sign up to be recognized with a service lapel pin and certificate of special congressional recognition. Find more details & sign up here.

Date: Saturday, December 14, 2019
Time: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM PST
Location: Richland Red Lion, 802 George Washington Way, Richland, WA

The Veteran Service Fair will feature organizations offering help with VA and healthcare benefits, counseling, employment opportunities, and more. The VA's Mobile Vet Unit will be available to provide on-site counseling and resources for veterans making the difficult transition from military to civilian life.

My office will also be conducting veteran interviews to submit to the Library of Congress' Veterans History Project. Interviews take approximately 30 minutes. If you are a veteran who wishes to participate and have your story preserved in the nation's largest library, please contact Derek Flint in my Yakima office by e-mail here

This event is free and open to the public. Constituents who wish to attend are encouraged to pre-register for the event. Pre-registration is not required, but it will speed up check in time on the day of the Veteran Service Fair. Organizations wishing to participate should contact Vicki Holleman-Perez by e-mail here or in my Yakima office at (509) 452-3243.
