Veterans History Project Training Session
I am participating in the Library of Congress' Veteran's History Project, and I am looking for volunteers to conduct interviews with our veterans.
The Veterans History Project collects, preserves, and makes accessbile the personal accounts of American war veterans so their service and sacrifice is never forgotten. Click here for more information about the project.
Individual volunteers, and volunteers from organizations around the country, interview veterans and collect first person narratives. Any individual or organization may participate, including family members and friends of veterans, students age 15 or older, high school and university educators, authors, veterans service organizations, places of worship, retirement communities, Scout troops, local businesses and professional associations.
A representative from the Library of Congress will be in the 4th Congressional District to conduct a training workshop for volunteers.
If you are unable to attend but know someone who might be interested, please let them know about this great opportunity.
