Newhouse Honored with American Conservative Union’s Conservative Achievement Award
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. Dan Newhouse (R-WA) was honored with the American Conservative Union Foundation’s Award for Conservative Achievement for his commitment to America’s foundational principles and the U.S. Constitution. Rep. Newhouse was recognized for American Conservative Union’s Congressional rating of 83% for his 2016 voting record.
“The 2016 ACUF Award for Conservative Achievement is given to those Members of Congress who receive an 80% or above score in our annual ACU Ratings,” said ACUF Chairman Matt Schlapp. “We applaud Congressman Newhouse for his continued support of conservative values, and working to achieve commonsense conservative solutions for the people of Washington State.”
“Conservative values mean encouraging work and opportunity, defending the blessings of our God-given rights, respecting life, and strengthening the private sector instead of enlarging the government through burdensome taxation,” said Rep. Newhouse. “As a farmer who understands firsthand the challenges that come from running a small business, I am honored to receive ACUF’s recognition as Central Washington’s conservative voice in Congress.”
