WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Rep. Dan Newhouse (R-WA) released the following statement after attending the Oval Office signing ceremony during which President Trump signed a bipartisan legislative package, S. 47, the John D. Dingell, Jr. Conservation, Management, and Recreation Act, into law. S. 47 included a provision to withdraw 340,000 acres in the Methow Valley from consideration for mining.
