Newhouse to Host Land Management and Wildfire Preparedness Roundtable in Okanogan
Event will feature special guest Rep. Glenn Thompson, Chairman of Committee on Agriculture’s Subcommittee on Conservation and Forestry
WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Dan Newhouse (R-WA) announced that he will host a Land Management and Wildfire Preparedness Roundtable in Okanogan on Thursday, March 31st from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The roundtable is free and open to the public.
“I am deeply concerned about the increasing frequency and severity of wildfires in our community,” said Congressman Newhouse. “I am committed to ensuring our public lands are managed properly, and that the federal government meets its obligations in the Pacific Northwest. I am pleased that Chairman Glenn Thompson will be joining me for this roundtable, and I invite members of the public to join us.”
