WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. Dan Newhouse (WA-4) is seeking a Gold Star Family Member for a fellowship position in his Yakima district office.
The fellow will work with veteran constituents and their families to conduct casework and act as a facilitator between federal, state, and local agencies such as the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Department of Defense, Veteran Service Organizations, and Central Washington veteran groups.
“Fulfilling the federal government’s commitment to our nation’s servicemembers is one of my highest priorities in Congress. I’m proud to be working with the Gold Star Family Fellows Program to provide this opportunity for local families of our fallen heroes,” said Rep. Newhouse. “This fellow will gain invaluable experience working directly with Central Washington’s veteran community, and I look forward to bringing them on to our team.”
