Newhouse Statement on Retirement of Congressman Denny Heck

December 4, 2019

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Rep. Dan Newhouse (R-WA) released the following statement after Rep. Denny Heck (D-WA) announced his retirement at the end of the 116th Congress:

"Denny has been an enthusiastic bipartisan partner in Congress, where we have shared more than just long cross-country flights together," said Rep. Newhouse. "I am proud to have worked with him on priorities for Washington state including strengthening and reauthorizing the Export-Import Bank and returning The Ancient One to our local tribes. I wish him well in his retirement – I know he will enjoy having more time to watch his beloved Zags. I will miss working with him in Congress."
