WASHINGTON D.C. – Today, Rep. Dan Newhouse (R-WA) released the following statement after voting in favor of H.R. 3364, the Russia, Iran, and North Korea Sanctions Act, which passed the U.S. House on a vote of 419-3:

“Hostile regimes that threaten U.S. national security or our allies must be put on notice that there will always be a heavy price to pay,” said Rep. Newhouse. “In light of the threat posed by North Korea, Russia, and Iran, leverage is needed to pressure their leaders. Congress should exercise oversight to ensure that sanctions are implemented against regimes that threaten the U.S. and our interests.”
