President Trump signs revised free trade agreement

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. Dan Newhouse (R-WA) released the following statement today after President Trump and South Korean President Moon signed a revised free trade deal, the U.S.-Korea Free Trade Agreement (KORUS).

"The revised U.S.-Korea Free Trade Agreement helps American automakers and farmers by lowering barriers for automotive and agriculture goods," said Rep. Newhouse. "Leveling the playing field to boost American exports has been one of President Trump's and U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer's principal goals. I support their work to revise the KORUS trade agreement and count on continued progress in negotiations with our other international trading partners."
