Like many Central Washingtonians, I grew up responsibly exercising my constitutional right to bear arms. In Congress I remain a staunch advocate for the Second Amendment and stay on watch for any efforts from across the nation to infringe on it.
When New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham implemented an “emergency public health order” banning open and conceal carry in Albuquerque, I led my colleagues in Congress in a House Resolution condemning the governor for her blatant attempt at suppressing the rights of law-abiding gun owners.
