Newhouse Congratulates Central Washington Students on U.S. Military Academy Appointments

May 21, 2019

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. Dan Newhouse (R-WA) announced that four students from Central Washington have received appointments to attend U.S. service academies. The appointments followed Rep. Newhouse's nominations for each appointee. The honor of attending a service academy comes with the obligation and commitment to serve in the military for a minimum of five years upon graduation.

"I admire the dedication of these students who have been selected to serve at our nation's fine military academies," said Rep. Newhouse. "Their academic success, community involvement, and commitment to our country proves they are excellent representatives from Central Washington. Congratulations on your appointments, and I wish you all the best in your futures as U.S. military leaders."
