Newhouse Congratulates Central Washington Students on U.S. Military Academy Appointments

May 26, 2020

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Rep. Dan Newhouse (R-WA) announced that six students from Central Washington had received and accepted appointments to attend U.S. service academies. The appointments followed Rep. Newhouse's nomination for each appointee. The honor of attending a service academy comes with the obligation and commitment to serve in the military for a minimum of five years upon graduation.

"I commend these students for answering the call to protect our nation's freedom, and on behalf of Washington's 4th Congressional District, I thank them for their commitment to serve our country as the next generation of leaders," said Rep. Newhouse. "It is my hope that their future endeavors in the United States military lead to a life of enjoyment, success, and pride; knowing that they can always find their way home to Central Washington."
