Newhouse Congratulates Fourth District Appointees to Military Academies
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. Dan Newhouse (R-WA) today announced five students from the Fourth Congressional District who received appointments U.S. Service Academies. The students received nominations from Rep. Newhouse last year and have been selected to attend the nation’s most prestigious military academies, including the Military Academy at West Point, the Air Force Academy, and the Naval Academy. Rep. Newhouse released the following statement:
“I congratulate all of these students from Central Washington who have received appointments to Service Academies and have taken up the call to serve in our nation’s Armed Forces,” said Rep. Newhouse. “They each stand out for their academic and athletic excellence, their leadership potential, and their dedication to wear the uniform of the United States military. I was honored to nominate these future leaders, and I am proud that these young people will represent the very best of Central Washington in our nation’s Service Academies.”
