Rep. Newhouse Announces D.C. Office Staff

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. Dan Newhouse (R-WA) today released the following statement on staff appointments for the 4th District Congressional office in Washington, D.C.:

"Serving the constituents of the 4th District is an honor and a privilege, and I am pleased to announce members of my staff in D.C. who will work with me on Central Washington's priorities," said Rep Newhouse. "I am confident that this team will bring key skills and expertise to encourage economic growth and address critical issues facing our district in the 114th Congress."

Carrie Meadows, Chief of Staff: Prior to being named to lead Rep. Newhouse's staff, Carrie worked as Legislative Director for Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R-VA). Carrie has over a decade of experience on Capitol Hill and has worked extensively on agriculture policy. Carrie grew up in Lynchburg, Virginia and completed her undergraduate degree from James Madison University in Virginia.

Jason Herbert, Legislative Director: Prior to joining Rep. Newhouse's staff, Jason worked on energy and environmental policy issues as a member of Bracewell & Giuliani's Policy Resolution Group. During the 112th Congress, Jason served as a Legislative Assistant in the office of Congressman Francisco "Quico" Canseco (R-TX), handling a large and diverse legislative portfolio. Originally from San Antonio, Texas, Jason graduated from Trinity University and is a 6th generation Texan on his mother's side of the family.

Will Boyington, Communications Director: Before joining Rep. Newhouse's staff, Will most recently worked at the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee under Chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA) as Deputy Press Secretary. A proud Pacific Northwesterner, Will grew up in Spokane, Washington. Will is a graduate of Hillsdale College in Michigan.

Jessica Gleason, Policy Advisor: Jessica has served the people of Central Washington for over 16 years, working as a senior congressional aide for Rep. Doc Hastings (R-WA) before joining the office of Rep. Newhouse.

Stephanie Katz, Legislative Assistant: Before joining Rep. Newhouse's staff, Stephanie worked as a legislative intern for Powers, Pyles, Sutter & Verville in Washington, D.C. and as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for Yakima County. Born and raised in Washington, Stephanie grew up in Yakima. Stephanie is a graduate of the University of Southern California and Santa Clara University School of Law.

Kyle Kunkler, Legislative Assistant: Prior to joining the Congressman's office, Kyle worked for the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors as a Federal Government Relations Program Manager. Kyle also previously worked as a legislative aide for Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA). Kyle was born and raised in Richland, Washington and is a graduate of The College of Idaho.

Sean O'Brien, Legislative Correspondent: Sean joins Rep. Newhouse's staff after working in government and community relations for Russell Investments in Seattle, Washington. Sean attended Gonzaga University in Spokane, and he has interned for Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) and Congressman Dave Reichert (R-WA).

Amy Harris, Executive Assistant: Before joining Rep. Newhouse's staff, Amy most recently worked on Rep. Newhouse's campaign team as well as fundraising for a D.C.-based Republican firm. Amy also previously worked for Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA). A native of the Pacific Northwest, Amy grew up in Vancouver, Washington. Amy is a graduate of Brigham Young University Idaho.

Amos Rothstein, Staff Assistant: Before arriving in D.C., Amos worked for Rep. Newhouse's campaign in Yakima, Washington. Amos was born and raised in Portland, Oregon and graduated as a proud Vandal from the University of Idaho in the Spring of 2014.
