WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Rep. Dan Newhouse (R-WA) joined Rep. Richard Hudson (R-NC) and 139 Members in sending a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland and Acting Director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Marvin Richardson regarding the proposed guidance on "Factoring Criteria for Firearms with Attached ‘Stabilizing Braces.'"
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Rep. Dan Newhouse (R-WA) joined Rep. Ashley Hinson (RI-IA) and 59 Members of Congress from across the country to introduce the Repealing Illegal Freedom and Liberty Excises Act (RIFLE Act). Under current law, there is a $200 tax on the transfer and purchase of firearms regulated under the National Firearms Act. This legislation would remove the existing $200 tax on firearms sold to law-abiding gun owners.
We all agree that senseless acts of violence are unacceptable, and in our nation of law and order, there is no room for gun violence. Unfortunately, the Biden Administration is utilizing heartbreaking crimes to push its agenda.
