WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Rep. Dan Newhouse (WA-04) issued the following statement in opposition to the Biden Administration’s Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for a proposed National Old-Growth Amendment.  

“The action taken today by the Forest Service is the next step towards limiting timber production at the expense of common-sense forest management, including in the Colville, Gifford Pinchot, and Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forests” said Rep. Newhouse.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Rep. Dan Newhouse (WA-04) was selected as the Republican lead for the House Select Committee on Strategic Competition between the United States and the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) Fentanyl Policy Working Group.

"Fentanyl is the leading cause of death for people ages 18-45 in the United States, and we now know the Chinese Communist Party is the force behind that crisis," said Rep. Newhouse.
