Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA), Dave Reichert (R-WA), and Jaime Herrera Beutler (R-WA) to express their deep concern to the Washington State Office of Insurance Commissioner Mike Kreidler on the withdrawal of insurers Premera and LifeWise from the Washington Health Benefit Exchange in 12 counties – Chelan, Douglas, Ferry, Kittitas, Lewis, Lincoln, Mason, Pend Oreille, San Juan, Skagit, Stevens, and Yakima for the 2017 plan year. WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Rep. Dan Newhouse (R-WA) released the following statement after voting in favor H.R. 4909, the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2017, which passed the U.S. House. This legislation ensures that our men and women in uniform have the resources they need to protect and defend the United States. This legislation also governs projects under the Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) and sets authorization levels for legacy defense clean-up.

This legislation provides greater transparency to the federal government’s rulemaking process. The legislation is in response to the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) covert propaganda efforts during the public rulemaking process for the flawed Waters of the United States (WOTUS) rule.
