Currently, the United States’ immigration courts are facing a backlog of over three million cases, with the backlog steadily increasing in Washington State specifically over the past few years. Unfortunately, the allocation of resources to properly address this crisis is not being prioritized, and last week’s executive order does little to stem the tide of illegal immigration into our nation.

Today, Rep. Dan Newhouse (WA-04), a member of the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), introduced the No American Land for Communist China Act to prevent the CCP from purchasing land adjacent to federally owned land.

Summer is the season for picnics, barbecues, and gatherings with friends and family—all things where we can celebrate what makes this country so great. In the past, families could go to the grocery store and expect to spend a little over $100 when shopping for a summer party, but with inflation still up, that is no longer the case.

Dan Newhouse (WA-04) introduced a resolution of disapproval under Title 5 U.S. Code Chapter 8, the Congressional Review Act, in response to the Biden Administration finalizing its misguided plan to establish a nonessential experimental population of grizzly bears in the North Cascades ecosystem.

America’s university campuses have recently seen a disturbing rise in antisemitism and support of known terror group, Hamas. Since the horrific attacks on Israel that occurred on October 7, 2023, protests against our ally Israel have flooded the media. Free speech should always be protected, however the antisemitic violence we have seen on campuses is not a form of protected speech.
